I am not about giving away personal data, and won't (according to the other terms below) however, if you are a grownup, act like one. The whole privacy thing is a technical debate, but finding the author of a message is a function of resources and time, not technology. Be wary!) -- On with the exceptions:

In short, I reserve the right to treat all correspondence with me and the bulletin board as public property. I realize this is not the Athenian forum, but this isn't a bathroom wall at a truckstop.

Look, I love privacy and I will meet you halfway on this entire email, IP address thing. It's a Golden Rule situation.

However, if you do any of the following things the gloves will come off.

I will share your email, and possibly IP address, if:

• You are bragging about an exceedingly stupid and/or criminal act.
• You are both really rude and really stupid. If you are not sure if you qualify, then you should probably not post just to be on the safe side.
• You bash anyone based on the color of their skin, their religion, their sex, their nationality, etc. You know the drill.

Seems reasonable doesn't it?

Don't use people's real names. Especially if you aren't using your own, that is the pinnacle of cowardice.

And just in case you didn't get it... I don't support, condone, sanction or encourage illegal acts. There are plenty of legal ways to prove your point.

Finally, please don't curse. Try to say what you want in more innovative language. You can think of it as a creative writing exercise.
